Aaand we're back!

Finally! We our soo sorry for the lack of post the last few days. At the last minute we got passes to shoot the SD film Festival, so we spent our weekend shooting and editing the event. It was pretty fun, we got to see William Shatner and check out some cool parties. We'll post the Citybeat video tomorrow and give some more details on the event.

In the meantime, here are a couple new commercials we created for a local salon SD Wax Queen. We actually shot this video a while ago, but we have been overwhelmed with projects so we have finally got the commercial approved and ready to go! The first one is pretty edgy and fun. The ahem, bikini shot, was actually the owner of the salon's idea. How's that for a fun sport! I love it when people are creative with their ideas. Anyways, check them both out and visit SD Wax Queen if you ever need a professional and affordable wax :)

SDFF..One Month to Go

Photobucket
So we are officially less than a month away from the 2009 San Diego Film Festival. I'm not sure if we're going to go this year since our September is looking pretty swamped, but I'm curious to see how the Festival will play out.

As we've mentioned before, a lot of festivals have toned down their excesses over the past couple of years as our economy slid into the gutter. And I think SDFF is no exception. They've drastically cut down the price of passes. The basic all access pass last year was like $150 or something, and now it's only $99. And they're not even listing the VIP pass price anymore on their website. Every other year SDFF has advertised their VIP pass at $300/ea. Yeah, it was a pretty steep price, but it includes no waiting in line at any movies, or parties, with access to their open bars and complimentary services like salon visits etc. So it's actually a pretty cool pass. I was sneaky enough to finagle two VIP passes in 08 for only $150 bucks through craigslist (the best place to hunt for discounted SDFF passes) and we definitely got our money's worth in free drinks. And now the SDFF VIP pass is only available by contacting for the price.hhhmm. Well I hope that the Festival hasn't suffered too much and its enjoyable for those who attend.

Anyways, it is LATE-we've just finished editing our Street Scene footage which we'll post tomorrow along with pics et.It was a super fun (and exhausting) event, so we can't wait to share our experiences with you. So right now I'm going to take a shower, climb into bed and try to forget that I have to be up in 6 hours to go to work. Ciao for now!

You be the judge

night is back again at the Pearl Hotel in Pt.Loma. According to the San Diego Film Festivals web site the "You Be the Judge Night is an exciting opportunity for the San Diego community to participate in selecting which films will be screened during the annual San Diego Film Festival September 23 - 27, 2009. Audience members will have a chance to judge short films and their written feedback will be used by the festival staff in determining which films will make the final cut for the fest this fall." If you didn't make it last time, this is a great opportunity to see some of the films and to help shape what is screened in the festival.
For those of you haven't seen the Legion trailer yet...but don't get me wrong, I love the apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic genre but I am not sure what I think about this....checkout the trailer below.
