First-time director Celine Danhier assembled archival footage and contemporary interviews about New York's underground film scene in the 1970s and 80s. As self proclaimed film jeeks, we can't see enough documentaries about the process of making film, music, and art. Should be an interesting doc....

The Hey-day of Disney Animation
For anyone like me, who grew up trying to mimic Ariel's iconic burst out of the water in their backyard pool, and sang every lyric to Beauty and the Beast, this movie will be a big treat. Can't wait to see it. Just seeing the sketches of my favorite Disney cartoons is getting me all excited to watch the film.

Happy Tuesday...
Last night I had a chance to see It Might Get Loud in a pre-screening. The synopsis on the film's web site - " It Might Get Loud tells the
personal stories, in their own words, of three generations of electric guitar virtuosos – The Edge
(U2), Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), and Jack White (The White Stripes). It reveals how each
developed his unique sound and style of playing favorite instruments, guitars both found and
invented. Concentrating on the artist’s musical rebellion, traveling with him to influential locations,
provoking rare discussion as to how and why he writes and plays, this film lets you witness
intimate moments and hear new music from each artist. The movie revolves around a day when
Jimmy Page, Jack White, and The Edge first met and sat down together to share their stories,
teach and play." I enjoyed and related to the personal and artistic struggles each guitarist described in the film. And found that the interviews were informative and the visuals and musical selections in the film were very interesting. It Might Get Loud is one of the best music documentaries I have seen.

He's back....
Moore's film is set to be released on October 2 and will explore the root causes of the global economic meltdown. Should be interesting...
