next film Mute is in preproduction but Libert Films has already released some concept art. Very little is know is about Mute but its set in a futuristic Berlin and that it follows a mute bartender as he searches for his missing lady. No release date has been given but filming is set for sometime early next year. We really enjoyed Jones' first film Moon so we are looking forward to checking it out.
Switching gears a bit, we found this interesting contest online called Straight 8 in which they give you a a 3 minute roll of super 8mm film to shoot. The only catch is that you send in your undeveloped, unedited roll of film for them to review. Straight 8 will select the best of the bunch to show on BBC or at the Cannes Film Festival. Sounds interesting. We will probably check this out.
