Sundance Film Festival

Accepting film submissions this week is the 26th Annual SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL. Sundance is widely recognized as a premier showcase for American and international independent film.

Each year, the Sundance Film Festival unveils a dynamic, cutting-edge program of dramatic and documentary features, and a selection of international shorts, launching films and filmmakers into the international spotlight. Sundance has introduced audiences to some of the most ground-breaking work from the past two decades, including SEX, LIES, AND VIDEOTAPE; MARIA FULL OF GRACE; HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH; AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH; TROUBLE THE WATER; and LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE, among many other genre-smashing, game-changing titles.

What's more, the filmmakers behind the films find a welcoming home and a devoted family at Sundance. Dedicated to discovering, promoting, and developing emerging talent, the Festival has helped to launch the careers of numerous successful independent filmmakers including Steven Soderbergh, Allison Anders, Quentin Tarantino, Tamara Jenkins, Robert Rodriguez, Neil LaBute, Darren Aronofsky, Bryan Singer, the Coen Brothers, Kevin Smith, Catherine Hardwicke, Kimberly Peirce, Todd Solondz, Nicole Holofcener, Chris Eyre, Marc Forster, Nancy Savoca, and Lisa Cholodenko. And the list of stunning alumni grows each and every year.
